Battlestar

I heard a bit of snickering when I said I watch Battlestar Galactica. I snickered too when I first heard about it and avoided the show until three months ago. Yes, I do feel like a huge dork admitting I watch this show, but its really good and probably the best study of politics and warfare on TV in recent memory. Variety backs me up here.

Yeah, I started watching this show myself through the magic of DVD. I was impressed with how well it dealt with the political aspects, from the military taking control of the gov't, to terrorism, and having to reconcile their new gov't with the religious types in their midst. Perhaps most impressive is the fact that it's still entertaining, as well.

I'm in the same boat. Me and a few friends picked up on BSG during the summer, and have clung to every minute since. It's always been interesting when religion and politics mix, along with all of the other conflicts. Also, nothing wrong with being a dork! :D

I wonder if I can get John to bring up BSG in discussion... would probably just end up being me talking to myself though, wouldn't it.
